FRANK GAMBLE Head Coach Frank Gamble graduated from Fairless High School and Ashland College. He was a teacher and coach at Tuslaw High School for nineteen years, including four years as head football coach. For the two years before coming to Perry High School, he taught and was an assistant football coach at Jackson High School, while continuing to lead the Tuslaw baseball team. Coach Gamble’s baseball record at Tuslaw and Perry High Schools include 515 wins and 335 losses, four Senate League Champion teams, eight Sectional Champion teams, and a District Tournament Champion team. He was voted Senate League Coach of the Year in 1974, 1975 and 1988. He was Stark County Coach of the Year in 1995, Federal League Coach of the Year in 2002 and 2004, and coached the All Ohio Series in 1996. Eleven of his players have been named All-Ohio, 65 went on to play college baseball and three were drafted by the New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates and the St. Louis Cardinals. Coach Gamble is Past-President of the Ohio Baseball Association. He was Game Director for the Ohio All-Star Baseball Series held in 1991 at The Ohio State University, and State Baseball Clinic Director in 1993. Mr. Gamble was inducted into the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1998. He coached Team Ohio in Oklahoma. Coach Gamble also serves as the Athletic Director at Perry High School. Coach Gamble has two sons: Bill is a Perry graduate and Erskine College graduate and Brian is a graduate and an assistant football coach at Walsh University.
